Breaking Hearts
When I got off my mission in 1998, my mission buddy Thomas and I decided to room together at Ricks College in Idaho. (Now it is known as BYU Idaho or BYUI for short.)
One night Thomas and I were lying in our beds and chatting. We were talking about dating, relationships, and marriage like all freshly returned missionaries do. Discussing items such as when, with whom, and where and everything else on the subject.
After a while there came a pause in the conversation. In the silence, I was pondering about all the different things we were saying, and all of the sudden, Thomas burst out "Michael, I can never get married!"
I instantly let out a burst of laughter. For one thing, we had been talking about getting married and how nice that would be. It was clear that we both wanted to. Second, what in the world could possibly prevent him from doing so. After I had finished laughing, I giggled "Why not?" and he said
"I will break too many girls hearts."
Again I laughed. Anyone who knows Thomas would say, "Yep, that sounds like something he would say." :)
This last weekend, Thomas married the beautiful, smart, and talented Maureen. I guess he finally found a girl worth breaking all the other poor girl's hearts. I want to tell them congratulations again and I wish them the very best.
As for you broken hearted, I am here for you. Drop me a line any time and we can talk about it.

i am a little concerned that you were in bed with thomas. ¿does his wife know? (not that there's anything wrong with that.)

This whole story is an absolute lie! I denounce all of it! I never said it! It was Michael who said it! This is a frame up! Michael is the real heart breaker! Help! Police! President Bush! Someone!
I do miss our nightly chats Miguel.
